Right now in Pennsylvania, it’s legal to fire, deny housing or refuse service at a public business to someone just because they are gay or transgender. As the only state in the Northeast that still denies these basic protections to non-public sector employees, Pennsylvania’s outdated laws hurt employers’ ability to attract top talent and discourages investment in our state.
Thankfully, that could all change if state lawmakers pass critical legislation to update our laws and protect all Pennsylvanians from discrimination, including on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
If you believe that no one should be discriminated against because of who they are or whom they love, sign our petition in support of legislation protecting all Pennsylvanians from discrimination, and help support a more robust economy in the Keystone State.
